Goals
The network was founded for the purpose of uniting researchers in diverse fields of
many-body phyics, including but not restricted to condensed matter, atomic physics
and high energy physics. The main goal is to develop theories and numerical tools
for the study of out of equilibrium quantum dynamics, ultrafast excitation and correlation
dynamics such as realized e.g. in nuclear collisions or ultrafast laser excitation of
matter. A powerful method for this study has proven to be real-time (Keldysh) Green's
functions. Therefore, the main goal consists in developing solutions of the two-time
Keldysh-Kadanoff-Baym equations (KBE).

1. The network stimulates exchange of ideas and results by making publications
broadly known and accessible (see virtual journal "Nonequilibrium Greens Functions").

2. The network supports training of students in Nonequilbrium Greens functions
by offering joint courses and computer labs.

3. The network supports joint computer code development for the solution of the KBE.

4. The network organizes informal workshops "Solving the Kadanoff-Baym equations"
and supports the conference series "Progress in Nonequilibrium Greens Functions".
