``Kadanoff-Baym Equations II''

The 1999 interdisciplinary workshop ``Kadanoff-Baym Equations ...'' and the proceedings have tried to give an overview on modern problems of quantum many-body theory, in particular on nonequilibrium Green's functions. Naturally, this overview can neither be complete, norcan it be objective. Already the choice of topics carried bias, and it was mainly determined by the activity of participants. (Many other colleagues had expressed their interest in this meeting but, for various reasons, could not participate). Many other topics (many of which were part of the original program of the workshop) deserve further exploration. This includes more historical aspects, in particular, the early activities in quantum field theory in the Soviet Union. Further topics include cosmology, chemical reactions, high energy physics, comparison with other approaches, such as Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics and much more. For these reasons, and encouraged by participants of the 1999 workshop, there is no way to escape a second meeting with the tentative title and dates

``Kadanoff-Baym Equations II''

to be held August 19-23 2002.

So, please, reserve these dates and spread the news to interested colleagues!
If you want to be included in the mailing list, please, send me an e-mail indicating your fields of interest, possible topics etc. Suggestions of further topics and interested colleagues are welcome.
